Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo[]

Like almost everyone in WILLE, Sumire Nagara's past in unknown. She appears for the first time when Shinji Ikari is driven on the deck of AAA Wunder. She only glances at the boy, without further attention. On the deck, she is the most prominent member of the bow. It is also the only one to not have a seat, but to be on a kind of high stool. When Captain Misato Katsuragi orders the takeoff of the ship, Sumire does not object because of mechanical risks. She is actually afraid of not being able to fly the ship properly.

After starting the main engine, Sumire activates the bar in "3-dimensional mode" allowing her to visualize all the ships around the Wunder. When the ship is attacked by the Nemesis Series, Sumire is in charge of defense maneuvers under Misato's direction. It's a success and the enemies are destroyed.

Her role is much less prominent in the rest of the film, especially during the Fourth Impact.
